New Dedicated OCT for Life Sciences Webpage
Demand for Gooch & Housego’s industry leading Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) products continues to grow. In response G&H’s Systems Technology Group (STG) are delighted to launch a new area of the website dedicated specifically to OCT solutions. Web visitors with an interest in OCT systems development and production are able to access detailed information with descriptions of our current suite of products.
From ophthalmology to skin cancer diagnosis to cardiology, the application of OCT technology in medical imaging systems is increasing. Outside of the life sciences sector, uses stretch from art restoration to materials processing applications such as micro-machining and non-destructive testing. G&H expertise in designing custom components and modules is helping OCT systems manufacturers to push the boundaries in this field.
The latest addition to the G&H family of OCT products is the Variable Optical Delay Line, providing fast, stable and accurate path length change in a compact and robust housing.
Continued development of G&H fused fiber technology has yielded the Extreme Wideband OCT Coupler (EWOC). This component offers improved directional uniformity along with significantly reduced change in tap ratio over wavelength change. This is particularly desirable for OCT systems using a swept source.
Other products and capabilities showcased on the OCT section of the G&H website include collimators, acousto-optic frequency shifters and our integrated modules capability.
The new web page also shows information on projects in development with links to engineers who can support visitors with bespoke requirements. The G&H Systems Technology Group (STG) bridges the gap between R&D and commercial implantation of new photonic technologies. The STG is a team of highly skilled engineers dedicated to system development for clients and is currently working on several programs related to biomedical imaging. The range of G&H offerings to the OCT community is therefore set to increase. “The Systems Technology Group is committed to support clients from initial concept through to high volume manufacture of OCT systems and subsystems” said Dr Andrew Robertson, SVP Systems Technology Group.
G&H is exhibiting at BIOS, on booth #8606 and Photonics West on booth #1923. Two delay lines will be operating together with examples and further details of our OCT product family. Come along and find out more.
