Successful candidates will join the Engineering Team based in Torquay reporting to the Apprentice Supervisor. The Apprenticeship follows the National Advanced Apprenticeship scheme over four years, based on four days per week work based training at G&H and one day per week educational support provided by South Devon College.
Work based training will provide knowledge and understanding across the company in manufacturing and engineering practices. Initially this will involve being trained in manufacturing disciplines to gain exposure to G&H product and process understanding, contributing to the company output. Following this the opportunity to evolve into production engineering exists in order to work on design, development of new and existing products, process engineering, and supporting complex manufacturing tasks.
Upon successful completion of our Apprenticeship you will be presented with the G&H Apprenticeship Certificate acknowledging the depth and breadth of experience gained in Manufacturing and Engineering. Included will be your educational attainment focusing on the Advanced Apprenticeship, Level 3.
Leading on there will be opportunity to continue with G&H in a full time role, based on your target position, with further progression opportunity and potential to continue studies at the Higher Apprenticeship, Level 4.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Ability to learn
- Good and steady hand to eye coordination
- Good communications skills
- Five GCSEs, minimum grade C, including Maths and English, or equivalent.
- Evidence of previous work experience beneficial
